Stuck between two Guards. Oh the horror! Cadet Guard Asian Lycan Cookies to the left and Guard Oso Viscious (my GF, grrlbear ) to the right. I changed to the red veil that Sister Honey B Drippin' gave me because it was lighter in weight.

Just before the Sisters stepped off in the Pride Parade, Inga and I found ourselves on our knees taking vows...and being given our first "black" veils. What my mother, Atopa, gave me was actually a black veil that was given to her when she was elevated, but it wasn't balanced on my coronet and kept trying to pull it off. Sister Honey was very sweet and gave me a light weight red veil as well and so here we have a picture of me in my first colored veil!

So, apparently everyone but ME knew I was being Elevated today at Pride. Last night, Bear and I were in bed and I was saying, "Ya know, no one has mentioned bringing my coronet to the meeting next week [in order to pin a veil to it and be elevated]. I wonder if they're going to ask that I wait a month or two more?" Little stinker knew that I was going to be elevated in the morning! TK and Jewels, the people we were riding with, knew too. Bastards. ;-)

As part of our Novice Journey, we're supposed to keep a resume of stuff we've attended and/or done. Honestly, I hadn't been keeping up with it, so I was VERY glad that the new Mistress of Novices (NoM), who happens to be my Aunt-Sister (not bio Aunt), is OCD about such stuff and had been doing it. I think we've missed some bingos, but here's the resume so far.

Oh, yeah. I kinda had fun with it. :-)

My Aunt said that I should do a "B" side about possible upcoming appearances. I think I'll do that when we get the calendar nailed down at the next meeting.

Mom and Auntie pulled me aside on Sunday and said, "Stop doing the grasshopper eyebrows!" I guess they didn't like the little marks I was making as eyebrows. I liked them, but, as I'm a Novice, I'll do what they ask. THESE eyebrows a patterned after some I saw a drag queen wear, also on Sunday. So, the truth is, I'd have worn these anyway. LOL

One of the Sisters brought up a pretty good point about the videos being public and viewable by all: it makes impersonating us much easier than before. I'd never thought about that and, honestly, I have to wonder if its that much of a threat. But, I have to admit that it might be a possibility, so I found a website that allows you to password protect post videos and moved them to http://vimeo.com/.

So, when I make new videos with such specifics, I won't be posting them here. Ancient Chinese secret and all that. But, I might edit the video a bit more and have something public to post. Sisters have been shown doing face for years...so I can't see why a short video without all the exact details would hurt for those who are my friends and the rest of the world.

If I get a chance to re-edit and make generic vid, I'll post it.

I created and uploaded five videos ranging from 4 to 8 min long of how to do one of my sister faces. I think they're pretty good! I also created my own channel. Weee!
